Contemporary American choreographer/composer Laura Dean is known for her signature spinning movements performed with painstaking agility by her dancers. This 36" x 48" performance poster, originally commissioned by Orchestra Hall in Detroit was an opportunity to translate that movement into graphic elements and, like her dance choreography combining classicist and modernist elements.

When Dean recommissioned the design for several performances at U.C. Berkeley's Zellerbach Auditorium, she called the design "the best poster for my work I've ever seen."
