Intellectual property is an expansive and somewhat abstract notion to many. In order to quickly convey how fast new ideas can be "washed out to sea" if not properly protected, Charette created the metaphor of the ocean waves washing over a sandy "circuit board" beach. The choice of subject matter is targeted to Silicon Valleyand other high-tech prospective clients.
